The Truth

Turn to God

Walking with our Father God

We must begin by acknowledging Jesus not only as our Savior who redeems us from sin but also as our King who reigns over our lives and directs our paths. This acknowledgment is foundational to our faith and devotion.

To navigate our daily lives, we earnestly ask God to stir up the Holy Spirit, our guide who empowers us to make wise decisions and provides comfort in times of trouble. In our journey of faith, it’s essential for us to take the time to quiet our hearts and minds so we can genuinely listen for the guidance and insights the Holy Spirit offers, helping us discern the right course of action.

Reading the Bible is another crucial aspect of our spiritual growth; we dedicate time to immerse ourselves in Scripture, understanding that through His word, God speaks to us, revealing His plans, promises, and instructions for our lives.

We acknowledge that God does not play favorites; His love and grace are available to all, and our worth is not determined by our actions but by our identity as His beloved children. Recognizing that salvation is a priceless gift, we understand that it cannot be earned or repaid through our own efforts; it is purely bestowed upon us through God’s grace.

With gratitude for this gift, we are eager to share the truth of Jesus with others, spreading the message of hope and redemption that transformed our own lives. As we grow in our relationship with God, we commit to maintaining constant communication with Him—this dialogue is essential as we learn to let go of old habits and embrace new growth.

In prayer, we invite God to illuminate the areas of our lives where He wishes for us to change, preparing our hearts to receive His guidance. Progress may feel slow at times, but we choose to put one foot in front of the other, moving forward on our journey of faith and trusting in God’s timing.

When we stumble and recognize our faults, we practice humility by openly admitting our wrongs. In these moments, we seek God’s forgiveness, understanding that He is always ready to extend mercy and grace to us. Additionally, we strive to forgive others for their shortcomings, reflecting the forgiveness we have received.

We pray for wisdom, asking God to help us discern how to avoid repeating the same mistakes, allowing us to grow and mature in our faith. When we fall short, we ask God to restore a right heart within us, seeking to be renewed and the strength to rise again.

Importantly, we grasp the profound truth that nothing can diminish God’s love for us; His affection remains constant, regardless of our actions. As we walk in faith with God, we invest time in developing a genuine and deepening relationship with Him, recognizing that learning to trust and love Him takes time and effort.

We begin to value God’s thoughts and plans for our lives more than our own desires and aims, coming to understand that His ways are higher than our ways. As this journey unfolds, we repeatedly remind ourselves that listening to the Holy Spirit’s guidance is a continuous process, requiring patience and commitment as we grow into the individuals, He has called us to be.

"Guide me in your truth, and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long." (Psa 25:5 WEB)
