Spiritual Abuse

Signs of Spiritual Abuse:

  • Spiritually abusive leaders twist the truth to make themselves look better, leaving you unsure about what they mean.

  • They refuse to accept responsibility and bully anyone who disagrees.
  • They might intimidate, shame, or belittle you to cross your boundaries.

  • They lie easily, believing that protecting their position is worth it for the gospel’s sake.
  • They use their charm to build a loyal following that defends them when questioned.
  • Spiritually abusive leaders often surround themselves with a select group and rarely engage with regular churchgoers.
