Overcoming the Past

When someone enters into a relationship with Jesus Christ, they experience a profound transformation. The old ways of living are left behind, replaced by a fresh start. This incredible change is made possible by God, who reconciled us to Himself through the sacrificial act of Jesus Christ. In His wisdom, God has entrusted us with the important mission of assisting others in reconnecting with Him. Through Jesus Christ, God is actively working to bring the world back into harmony with Himself. Consequently, we have been given the responsibility of sharing the message of restoration with others. (2Co 5:17-19) paraphrased

Note: When it comes to renewing the mind, it is important to acknowledge and embrace what God is doing in your life. By denying His work, you leave room for the enemy to exploit and seize opportunities.

Remember to practice self-compassion – emotional wounds can be as deadly as physical ones.

I understand how overwhelming it can feel when distressing thoughts consume you and you feel the urge to either bury them or forcefully push them out of your mind. However, these approaches only delay the issue instead of addressing it directly. To help you confront your inner struggles, I have outlined a series of steps inspired by scripture that can guide you towards resolution and peace. The first seven steps can be done in the comfort of your own space, allowing you to deeply reflect and explore your emotions without distractions. These steps are designed to help you understand the root cause of your thoughts and emotions, providing a framework for healing. Take your time with each step, giving yourself the grace to process and navigate this challenging journey. The final step emphasizes the importance of accountability and openly acknowledging what you are going through. I believe that this step is crucial for effective follow-through in your healing journey. By openly naming your struggles, you expose the tactics of the adversary, which can diminish their power over you. Moreover, this acknowledgment reaffirms your belief that the ultimate battle belongs to God, who is equipped to help you overcome. Embracing this process will position you to fully commit to your healing journey. Remember, this struggle is not just a mental matter; it is a significant battle for your peace and well-being. You are worth fighting for, and it is important to recognize your own value in this struggle. Jesus sacrificed His life for your complete freedom, so do not settle for anything less than the abundant life He promises. Trust that with time, effort, and faith, you can achieve the freedom and peace that God offers. The following step-by-step guide is designed for those who have realized that their life is in chaos and have surrendered it to God’s loving care. If you haven’t yet had a conversation with King Jesus, I highly recommend taking a moment to read the Gospel of Peace and make your decision.
