Grieving Loss
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. (Rom 8:28 WEB)
For a significant part of my life, I dedicated myself to unraveling the complex chaos that characterized my childhood experiences. I firmly believed by deeply comprehending the turbulent events and emotions that shaped my early years, I could find personal healing and, in turn, extend that healing to others who may be grappling with their own wounds. In hindsight, I recognize that the real enemy in our lives is the adversary of God, attempting to integrate into our essence and build barriers that block our progress. It preys on our self-doubt and intensifies feelings of condemnation, subtly isolating us from the path of living in harmony with God. This realization has both enlightened and sobered me, exposing the ways in which internal struggles can distort our perceptions and relationships.
As I have grown older, the youthful energy and enthusiasm that once drove me to venture into the streets in search of the wounded and the lost have waned. I no longer find myself outside, seeking those who suffer. Instead, I have turned to the written word as my medium of expression. Writing has become my way of reaching out and sharing the insights and reflections that have emerged from years of introspection. Through my words, I aspire to touch your heart, to strike a chord that resonates with your own experiences. My hope is you may discover within my reflections a glimmer of inspiration or understanding that can illuminate the path as you embark on your own journey out of the painful wilderness that life can sometimes bring. Together, through shared stories and truths, we can navigate the path toward healing.
“Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2Co 4:16-18 WEB)
