Father Son & Holy Spirit
I’ve always attempted to understand important issues, and one day during a ladies’ Bible study, we explored the concept of God’s triune nature. At its core, the Trinity comprises God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They’re all equally important, yet each is a distinct being. At that time, I found this idea complex, although I couldn’t quite put my finger on why. I’m excited to share with you the insights that God revealed to me!
“Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” (Mat 28:18-20 WEB)
Clay Crosses
I settled down at the kitchen table to create some clay crosses. With a mix of different colors in my hands, I divided them into three neat piles, excited to shape them into three unique crosses. Even though they were all made from the same clay and shared the same colors, each cross had its own character. This little project helped me appreciate the essence of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—a beautiful yet complex spiritual truth. Grateful for this enlightening moment, I continued to blend colors and craft more crosses. As I looked at all the unique clay crosses I had made, I realized that the one thing they all shared was my fingerprints. That was a powerful moment for me: as God spoke to my heart, confirming we are all wonderfully created with the fingerprints of God, each of us uniquely designed and molded by the Hand of God according to His divine purpose.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.” (Eph 2:10 WEB)
"But now, Yahweh, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you our potter. We all are the work of your hand." (Isa 64:8 WEB)
"Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. your walls are continually before me." (Isa 49:16 WEB)
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jer 29:11 WEB)
"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." (Psa 139:13-14 WEB)
